Hello!
I am a narrative artist and illustrator with a focus on picture book illustration. I work primarily in traditional media including pastels, colored pencils, markers, watercolor and collage. Whether I am creating a stand alone piece, a series of illustrations, or an entire book, my art always begins with a story. I aim to draw viewers into the emotional world of my characters and to let them feel the same joy, sadness, or excitement that the characters experience and in doing so create a connection between my art and the audience.
My favorite picture book from childhood is The Fox Went Out on a Chilly Night, illustrated by Peter Spier … and I may just have a tattoo to prove it.
With a background in graphic design and art direction for Saatchi & Saatchi X and Hallmark, I now spend my time freelancing in both the design and illustration worlds.
